It had also cut 911 service in LaMoure and Dickey counties it did not however affect Stutsman County 911 service.<\/p>\n<p>Century Link says, the cable cut occurred during a boring operation by a third-party company doing work on a water line at 11:30 a.m. and was repaired at 5:09 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) \u00a0Area telephone\u00a0 customers are being\u00a0advised, by a Century Link representative, \u00a0that a fiber optic cable was cut Wednesday afternoon \u00a04 miles south of Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>An email notice from\u00a0 Dickey County Emergency Manager, Charlie Russell,states that <strong>911 service is down\u00a0in parts of Dickey and LaMoure<\/strong>\u00a0counties.<\/p>\n<p>Stutsman County assistant emergency manager, \u00a0Sarah Van De Velde, says the cut in the fiber optic cable <strong>has not<\/strong> affected 911 service in Stutsman County.<\/p>\n<p>Dakota Central Telecommunications Cooperative \u00a0(DCT) announced the cut has affected some long distance and local calls made between its customers and Century Link customers.<\/p>\n<p>No timeline was given as to when phone service would be restored.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update&#8230; Early Wednesday evening&#8230; Jamestown (CSi) CenturyLink officials report that a fiber optic cable cut Wednesday morning had been repaired and all service restored by earlier Wednesday evening.
