{"id":77158,"date":"2015-07-17T07:38:29","date_gmt":"2015-07-17T12:38:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=77158"},"modified":"2015-07-18T20:26:12","modified_gmt":"2015-07-19T01:26:12","slug":"thurs-evening-storm-damages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=77158","title":{"rendered":"Thurs evening storm damages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/stormclouds.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-18951\" alt=\"stormclouds\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/stormclouds.jpg\" width=\"109\" height=\"109\" \/><\/a>Jamestown (CSi) Thursday evening\u2019s thunderstorm system that brought strong winds felled trees and flipped a pontoon at Lakeside Marina.<\/p>\n<p>The Weather Service recorded wind gusts of 51 mph at the Jamestown Regional Airport during the storm<\/p>\n<p>Marina business owner Mike Kesler, says straight-line winds came from the north combined with the rain, reduced visibility to near zero, blowing rocks across the road pelting his truck in which he sought shelter.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile wind flipped a pontoon and the boat lift that it had been secured in, and bent the frames of some of the docks at the marina tearing off canopy tops from other boats.<\/p>\n<p>Branches were broken from many trees and in some cases, entire trees were uprooted or broken off.<\/p>\n<p>Damage reports as of 8 p.m. Thursday included two reports of trees down in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>A flood warning was issued for northwest Stutsman County Thursday afternoon expired Thursday evening at 7:30.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi) Thursday evening\u2019s thunderstorm system that brought strong winds felled trees and flipped a pontoon at Lakeside Marina.
