Jamestown (CSi) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reports the recent heavy rain events in northern Stutsman County have not significantly affected the reservoir levels or releases at Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoirs.<\/p>\n
Pipestem Dam Manager Bob Martin said Friday afternoon, at that time, Jamestown Reservoir was an inch and half below the flood storage level, releasing 13 cfs of water.<\/p>\n
The Pipestem Reservoir level was six feet into the flood storage area, which is no concern, with Pipestem Dam releasing 135 cfs, for a combined release of 148 cfs.<\/p>\n
Martin says there may be an increase in release from Jamestown Reservoir this coming Monday, when the level may get into the flood storage area.<\/p>\n

Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The 4th \u00a0Annual JunKin CuZins junkyard, Junkyard Expo and Fleamarket is set for Saturday July 18, 2015, from 9-a.m., to 4-p.m., at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds.<\/p>\n
Debbie Clemens said there is no gate admission for the public.<\/p>\n
She pointed out that JunKin CuZins is six local, talented ladies who like to re-purpose, upscale, and re-do unique items and furniture.<\/p>\n
She said there will be lots of finished items as well as raw materials for others to re-finish.<\/p>\n
The Fleamarket consists of 60 vendors, offering a variety of merchandise and goods. Vendors are local and come from as far away as Bemidji, Minnesota.<\/p>\n
Last year between 500 and 700 people attended, and each year the attendance has been growing.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) The James River Humane Society welcomes the public to theOpen House July 18, 2015, from 10 am to 2 pm<\/p>\n
On Friday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, JRHS President Matt Opsahl said, there will be a grill out, face painting, air games, a dog-kissing contest, and there will be a reduced fee on animal adoptions that day.<\/p>\n
Opsahl added that cook books, and calendars\u00a0for\u00a0 fundraisers are available for purchase in\u00a0at $20 per cook book and $20 for a calendar.<\/p>\n
As always, the shelter is accepting donations of rawhides, cleaning supplies, treats, and toys. Volunteers are especially needed during the summer months, including dog walkers.<\/p>\n
He said the shelter current has 26 cats and\u00a020 dogs available for adoption.<\/p>\n
The James River Humane Society is located off the I-94 Bloom Exit.<\/p>\n

Faber, as someone who has experienced trauma personally, has developed a treatment model.<\/p>\n
Faber is a retired U.S. Army Major, from the Wyoming, National Guard, with active duty spent in German, and Korea, receiving the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge, for his service in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
DC developed this unique model after returning from combat in Afghanistan trying to figure out, how to rejoin his family and his community.<\/p>\n
His solution was the \u201cFaber Post-Traumatic Model.\u201d<\/p>\n
He has been presenting the model nationwide, helping veterans and other trauma survivors, to \u201cTake what changed them and, make it their strength.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the same time, he is helping families learn to understand and walk with them through their post-traumatic growth.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Chapter of The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, will hold the 2nd annual Unite to Silence the Stigma Bike Run to be held July 19<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Margo Haut, is Chairperson, of the local chapter.<\/p>\n
She was joined on Tuesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2 by three of 11 committee members, Beth Lautt, Cyndy Rodacker, and Tara McGregor, each of whom \u00a0lost a family member to suicide.<\/p>\n
The bike run will start at Stutsman Harley Davidson with registration from 11-12:30pm<\/strong>. Kickstands are up at 12:30pm.<\/p>\n
Prior to the run, at about 11:45 a.m., U.S. Senator, Heidi Heitkamp will speak to those gathered before the run. Heitkamp sits the U.S. Senate\u2019s Veterans Relations Committee.<\/p>\n
The ride ends at IDK Bar and Grill with a hog roast, door prizes, and fellowship. The cost of the Run is $25\/rider, $10\/passenger.<\/p>\n
Cars are welcome at the Run.<\/p>\n
The cost of registration includes a bandana, meal, and door prize entries.<\/p>\n
On our show, Margo stated that \u201cUnite to Silence the Stigma\u201d came from the vision of the Family of Thomas Doyle\u2026in Fall of 2013, after attending the \u201cOut of Darkness\u201d Walk for Suicide Prevention, Thomas\u2019 Father, Dave Lautt approached her inquiring about potential assistance with a Motorcycle Run.<\/p>\n
She added that as Chairperson, of the local committee, \u201cI so appreciate this Family\u2019s generosity, Beth and Dave Lautt were not selfish as they welcomed individuals and\/or families to join us in launching the First \u201cSilence the Stigma\u201d Motorcycle Run that took place in July of 2014 raising $10,000 with goal to educate and prevent suicide.\u201d<\/p>\n
One other individual that was instrumental in the success of the Motorcycle Run was Tavia Smith who chairs the \u201cSilence the Stigma\u201d Motorcycle Run in Fargo, being in their fifth year.<\/p>\n
Statics from 2015 ~ An American dies by suicide every 12.95 minutes\u2026this is 111 Americans lost to suicide every day ~ 22 are Veterans that we lose to to suicide per day.<\/p>\n
Margo added that in listening to local Families and\/or Individuals, statements consisted of \u201cwe never saw it coming\u201d, \u201cif only we had known the warning signs\u201d, \u201cif only he\/she would have reached out for help\u201d, we tried to get help but couldn\u2019t get it\u201d ~ the consistent message behind it was Stigma!\u201d<\/p>\n
The Jamestown Committee deemed to take it one step further changing the the title to \u201cUnite to Silence the Stigma\u201d adding that the loss to Suicide has No Boundaries ~ it has taken individuals and\/or families from all walks of life to \u201cUnite to Silence the Stigma\u201d.<\/p>\n
This Year \u201cDC Faber, of Denver will make a presentation not only the day of the Run, but also on Saturday July 18\u00a0at 10AM<\/strong> at the \u201cQuality Inn & Suites in Jamestown.\u201d The program will run to 2-PM, and includes lunch.<\/p>\n

\u00a0WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) – The Highway Patrol has identified two people who died in a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and a water tanker truck in Williams County.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say 27-year-old Justin Olsen of Kuna, Idaho, was the driver of a pickup truck that caught fire after the crash shortly before 1:30 a.m. on July 9. He died at the scene, along with 28-year-old passenger Jacob Smith, of Ray.

\u00a0WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) – Bond has been set at $25,000 for a Williston man accused of shooting another man in an alley after a fight at a nearby house party.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police allege that 43-year-old Nash Wollan shot Michael Raphael early in the morning of July 11, hitting him under an arm and paralyzing him. He could face up to 16 years in prison if convicted on charges of aggravated assault, terrorizing and carrying a concealed weapon.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Court documents don’t list an attorney for him, and a home telephone listing is disconnected.\u00a0 \u00a0Wollan could enter pleas to the charges at an Aug. 27 court hearing.<\/p>\n

\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Authorities say searches of vehicles belonging to a retired North Dakota doctor missing in southwestern Montana have yielded no clues.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Seventy-four-year-old Patrick Fitzpatrick, of Bismarck, was last seen in Bozeman, Montana, two weeks ago. His truck and trailer were found abandoned in a rural area. He also left behind a van in the parking lot of a Bismarck fishing tackle shop.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The sheriff’s office in Montana’s Gallatin County says deputies found medicine in Fitzpatrick’s truck that family members say he took for heart issues.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) – Building a children’s science museum and developing transit stop shelters are among prospective projects being considered as Minot moves into the second phase of a national competition for nearly $1 billion in federal disaster recovery money.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Minot area is among 40 applicants still in the running in Housing and Urban Development’s National Disaster Resilience Competition. It aims to help communities recover from disasters and make them better able to handle future disasters by giving them up to $500 million.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minot is recovering from the June 2011 Souris River flood that caused nearly $700 million in damage.

CULBERTSON, Mont. (AP) – Crews are trying to determine if an oil train spilled any crude when it derailed in rural northeastern Montana.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BNSF spokesman Michael Trevino says the train with 106 loaded crude oil cars derailed near Culbertson just after 6 p.m. Thursday. Of the 22 cars that derailed, only two remained upright. No injuries or fires were reported.

The moves come two days after he suffered a widespread party rebellion over an austerity bill that he had to push through Parliament. It was required by the country’s creditors in order to start talks on a third bailout. Tsipras today removed two ministers who had voted against the government line.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LEE, Maine (AP) – State police say a former convict who’d been sought in the shootings of four people in three northern Maine communities has been taken into custody. Anthony Lord was arrested in Houlton. Police say a woman found with him is safe. Dozens of law enforcement officers were searching for Lord, who is believed to have stolen a logging truck before the overnight shootings. Police didn’t identify the victims or provide information about their conditions.

They told a judge Friday that Jeffrey Webb had been extradited from Switzerland. Webb was among seven FIFA (FEE’-fuh) officials detained in Switzerland in a case that sent shock waves through the soccer world. The rest are fighting extradition.
