THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE<br \/>\n\u00a0OVER WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA WHERE GUSTS TO AROUND 60 MPH ARE<br \/>\n\u00a0POSSIBLE.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Engineer\u2019s Office reminds motorists that on Monday, July 27, 2015, 7<sup>th<\/sup> Ave SE, between 2<sup>nd<\/sup> St &amp; 3<sup>rd<\/sup> St SE, will be closed to traffic, due to utility work. The work is expected to be completed and the street is expected to be re-opened to traffic within one to two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The work and anticipated street closure schedule are contingent upon weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists and other traffic should use extreme caution when entering road construction areas. The public should consider alternate routes if possible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Spiritwood (CSi) Last Friday Dakota Spirit AgEnergy&#8217;s Spiritwood facility went into full commercial operation.<\/p>\n<p>During a news conference, recorded by CSi 10 THE REPLAY CHANNEL, President of Midwest AgEnergy Group Greg Ridderbusch announced the official operation has begun.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of Governor Jack Dalrymple, Senator Heidi Heitkamp, Senator John Hoeven, and Congressman Kevin Cramer were on hand to pass along best wishes at the new 65 million gallon-per-year biorefinery.\u00a0 Also speaking was Jamestown&#8217;s Mayor, Katie Andersen.<\/p>\n<p>The ethanol produced at Dakota Spirit AgEnergy amounts to about 20% of North Dakota\u2019s annual fuel demand. (AP) &#8211; A weekend rollover east of Williston killed a 23-year-old man from the city.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Highway Patrol says a tire on the man&#8217;s pickup truck blew out on a county road 15 miles west of Williston about 2 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle went into the ditch and overturned.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities did not immediately identify the victim.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for transporting methamphetamine to a distributor in North Dakota.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A federal jury in March found Tyson Trotter guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Authorities say Trotter dealt more than 500 grams of meth.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Trotter was arrested in November 2014 after authorities observed him meeting with a man from Grand Forks in the parking lot of a business in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Authorities say a search of Trotter&#8217;s vehicle yielded more than $16,000 in cash. The man accused of buying the drugs was later found to have a pound of meth in his vehicle.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson ordered Trotter to serve 10 years of supervised release when his prison term is completed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Sentencing is scheduled for a North Dakota man convicted of attacking another man with a knife on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Francis Reed, of Fort Yates, pleaded guilty in April to federal charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury. He faces up to 10 years in prison on each charge.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reed was originally charged with assault to commit murder for the September 2014 incident. That charge was dropped in exchange for the plea.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sentencing is set for 9 a.m. today in Bismarck.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A nonprofit consumer group is urging North Dakotans to be on alert for phone calls or visits from people trying to collect money fraudulently by claiming utility bills are overdue.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota says con artists typically threaten people with halting their service immediately if a payment isn&#8217;t made. This scam tends to gain traction during the summer.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bureau President Dana Badgerow tells the Wahpeton Daily News that this is a &#8220;particularly bold scam&#8221; that has cost people money nationwide. In one instance, scammers claiming to be with an established utility firm promised $1,000 to a homeowner if they were allowed to come into the property and discuss an energy audit.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The group suggests contacting the utility directly to verify the an account&#8217;s status.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A study says $243 million in road projects are needed to alleviate traffic on the Interstate 94 corridor in the Bismarck area through 2040.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Bismarck Mayor Mike Seminary is advocating that a proposed interchange at 66th Street be pursued immediately to divert traffic from crash-plagued State Street.
