News) &#8212; The Jamestown Holiday Dazzle Parade was held on Friday evening (Nov 23, 2012) through downtown Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>45 floats were entered.<\/p>\n<p>The Jamestown Main Street Downtown Association reported the winning float entries in the contest, judged before the parade, during the lineup at McElroy Park.<\/p>\n<p>Parade Judges were: Chris Rathjen, Jessica Haak, and Alex Looysen.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the $500 First Place float was: Kitchen Solvers<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the $250 Second Place Award was: Real Truck<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the $100 Third Place Award was: Jamestown Area Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n<p>Downtown Association, Ambassador, Charlie Kourajian estimated that between 2,000 and 2,500 parade-goers enjoyed the lights and music, and commented on the wonderfully decorcated floats.<\/p>\n<p>The parade was recorded by CSi-T.V. 10 THE REPLAY CHANNEL, and will be showing through the holiday season, watch for the replay dates.<\/p>\n<p>Following the parade, the community was invited to Shady\u2019s at the Gladstone Inn &amp; Suites for the After Parade Party.<\/p>\n<p>The Jamestown Choralaires was hand to lead Christmas Sing-A-Longs.<\/p>\n<p>Coffee, Hot Chocolate and cookies were served compliments of Shady\u2019s and Coborn\u2019s of Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The John Deere factory in Valley City<br \/>\nis holding a groundbreaking Tuesday (Nov 27, 2012) at 10:30-a.m., \u00a0for its $20 million plant expansion.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gov. Jack Dalrymple and other dignitaries are slated to attend<br \/>\nthe groundbreaking of the new 100,000-square-foot addition.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The factory makes air seeders and tillage equipment and has<br \/>\nabout 325 workers. The company says the up to 100 new jobs are<br \/>\nexpected with the expansion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) &#8212; Mercy HealthCare Foundation&#8217;s 17th Annual Festival of Trees was last Saturday<\/p>\n<p>Festival of Trees Coordinator, Stephanie Mayfield said the event included both a silent and live auction, and quilt raffle.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Mayfield added, that afternoon from 1-3-p.m., the public was invited to stop by the Valley City Eagles, and stroll through the area decorated for Christmas, including the items to be auctioned that evening.<\/p>\n<p>Those included the Christmas trees, along with mantle pieces, and wreaths.<\/p>\n<p>Santa was on hand.<\/p>\n<p>She added that businesses and the community purchased the trees and decorations.<\/p>\n<p>This year there were 7 live, and 11 artificial trees, in the auction.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds raised from this year\u2019s event go toward the Mercy Hospital renovations of the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> floor, patient rooms, along with furthering the development of new programs within the hospital as aiding the funding of equipment that is in need of replacement or upgrading.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Valley City, (KCSi-T.V. (AP) &#8211; A North Dakota high school student is<br \/>\nset to be sentenced for his role in a synthetic drug ring that<br \/>\nresulted in a handful of apparent overdoses and two deaths.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Eighteen-year-old Wesley Sweeney, of Manvel, pleaded guilty in<br \/>\nAugust to a charge of conspiracy to distribute drugs that resulted<br \/>\nin death.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sweeney is one of several people charged in the case that spans<br \/>\nlocal, state and federal jurisdictions.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Eighteen-year-old Christian Bjerk, of Grand Forks, and<br \/>\n17-year-old Elijah Stai, of Park Rapids, Minn., died within a week<br \/>\nof each other in June after ingesting the hallucinogens. A handful<br \/>\nof other people required medical treatment.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sweeney is scheduled to be sentenced Monday at 2:15 p.m. at the<br \/>\nfederal courthouse in Fargo. (AP) &#8211; The widow of a man killed in a<br \/>\nhit-and-run case in Dickinson is offering a reward for people who<br \/>\ncome forward with information.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tracy Freer was killed when a pickup struck him about 1 a.m.<br \/>\nWednesday in the Queen City Motel parking lot. Freer had been had<br \/>\nbeen letting his dog out to use the bathroom when he was struck and<br \/>\ndragged about 15 feet.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tracey Freer owned the motel with his wife Roberta.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Roberta Freer says \u00a0her family is offering $5,000 for information leading to the driver of the pickup. She says she has faith the detectives working<br \/>\non the case will be able to solve it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; An Illinois man says he will plead guilty in<br \/>\na North Dakota drug case.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Uriel Curiel is charged in federal court with conspiracy to<br \/>\npossess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and money<br \/>\nlaundering. He had pleaded not guilty in September.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Curiel was arrested in Chicago in November.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A change of plea hearing is scheduled Monday in Fargo.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 No further information has been released.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0NEW TOWN, N.D.
