{"id":81065,"date":"2015-09-03T14:29:53","date_gmt":"2015-09-03T19:29:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=81065"},"modified":"2015-09-04T13:19:56","modified_gmt":"2015-09-04T18:19:56","slug":"pole-collapse-nw-jmst-causes-outages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=81065","title":{"rendered":"2 Power poles down NW Jmst, causes outage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi) Officials with Otter Tail Power in Jamestown report two poles along 5<sup>th<\/sup> Street Northwest (Stockyard Road) were broken when a line was snagged.<\/p>\n<p>[easyrotator]erc_36_1441308750[\/easyrotator]<\/p>\n<pre>CSi Photos - Thomas Ravely &amp; Matt Sheppard<\/pre>\n<p>Otter Tail Customer Service Manager, Jeff Hoff in Jamestown says, at 1:12 p.m., a high profile vehicle or equipment snagged a line on a power pole taking it down, falling northward, with lines across the road.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement was on the scene diverting traffic around the downed power lines.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the afternoon, \u00a0a second \u00a0pole fell over, as a result of the previous damage.<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement is investigating the incident. \u00a0Anyone with information about the vehicle or equipment that struck the line should contact Jamestown Police.<\/p>\n<p>Hoff says the power was off in a section of Northwest Jamestown from around downtown, into the Fort Seward area, from about 1:12 \u2013 p.m., to 1:35-p.m. The power outage affected 830 customers.
