(AP) &#8211; No one was injured when two grain bins collapsed at an eastern North Dakota facility Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The bins collapsed around 12:20 p.m. at the Central Plains Ag Services site west of Hannaford.<\/p>\n<p>General manager Ben Jacob says the collapse did not cause an explosion or fire. The company&#8217;s Hannaford site features a 2.8 million-bushel shuttle loading facility.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t immediately clear what caused the bins to collapse.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Regional Airport Reports 693 boardings in August, this year, bringing 2015 boarding numbers to 5,468.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown Regional Airport Authority Chairman, Jim Boyd told members those number reflected an increase of more than 230 percent from the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>The authority also tabled a request from Dale Reimers to renew the current five-year lease for the farmland surrounding the airport until it can be reviewed by the airport\u2019s attorney.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Public School Board has set another community forum to discuss the proposed expansions and renovations of elementary and middle schools, and the $19 million in levy bonds set for a special election.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting\u00a0is geared to inform the public about the elementary school projects and allow for questions and answers.<\/p>\n<p>The next \u00a0meeting will be at 7 p.m. on <strong>September 17th<\/strong> at Jamestown Middle School\u2019s, Thompson Counnity Room, a t203 2nd Ave. SE.<\/p>\n<p>The School Board has approved a Special Election for September 29, 2015, for $19 million in general obligation school-building bonds for school construction and renovations at elementary and middle schools.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown\/Stutsman County United Way campaign kickoff is an outdoor movie event at Jack Brown Stadium, in cooperation with Jamestown Parks and Recreation, on Friday September 18, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>United Way\u2019s Secretary\/Publicity Chair, Dana Wallace spoke about the kickoff on Wednesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2.<\/p>\n<p>Cashwise has partnered with the United Way to put on a bratwurst and hotdog stand with all proceeds to the United Way.<\/p>\n<p>The United Way is asking for a free will donation for the inflatables , fun activities and the outdoor movie. (Help Offer Private Education) Dinner for St. John\u2019s Academy in Jamestown will be held on Saturday October 3, 2015, at the Zebedee Center at St. John\u2019s Academy, starting at 5-p.m.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme is &#8220;360 Degrees North.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Call 701-252-3397, for tickets, soon, they are going quickly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that three individuals were injured in a rollover accident, Tuesday about 3:10-p.m., four miles East of Tappen.<\/p>\n<p>Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind reports that Juluis Maier and Mary Maier of Apple Valley, Minnesota, and Pamela Johnson of Mekinock, North Dakota, were traveling East on I-94 when their vehicle pulling a camper entered the median and rolled onto its side, coming to rest on the driver\u2019s side.<\/p>\n<p>All three individuals were transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center by Medina Ambulance where they were treated and released.<\/p>\n<p>The crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Water Education Foundation will hold the Buffalo City Opportunities and Water Use tour on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>The tour will begin and end at the Stutsman Rural Water District office and participants will visit the Cavendish facility, along with an area treatment plant, Spiritwood Station and Dakota Spirit AgEnergy Plant.<\/p>\n<p>The tour is open to the public and will cost $20 per person, which includes transportation, informational materials, meals, refreshments and a one-year subscription to the <em>North Dakota Water<\/em> magazine. More information by calling 701-223-8332.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) Application for emergency funds has been approved by the South Central Dakota Regional Council Executive Board, a request from the city of Lehr as one of the city&#8217;s wells collapsed last week.<\/p>\n<p>Dirt and mud has been reported in Lehr&#8217;s drinking water. City officials are working with Moore Engineering of West Fargo, which determined that well Number One, had collapsed or failed.<\/p>\n<p>The city switched the city&#8217;s water system to the north well. The north well is older and sits close to a lake, but the water from the well is safe for drinking and public consumption.<\/p>\n<p>The cost of the project was not known as the Lehr City Council met Tuesday night to determine a course of action.<\/p>\n<p>Also the Regional Council also approved a request from the city of Cleveland to apply for funds through the North Dakota Governor Fund to fund the removal of sludge that has built up around the entrance to the city&#8217;s sewer lagoons.rty to dry for one to two years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MINOT, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A standoff in Minot involving a SWAT team and a man holed up in a home with a handgun ended peacefully after about two hours.<\/p>\n<p>The SWAT team surrounded the home Wednesday afternoon after a report of a domestic dispute in which a man had allegedly confronted a woman with the gun. Neighboring homes were evacuated.<\/p>\n<p>The woman left the home when officers arrived but the man refused to come out. He surrendered without incident after about two hours of negotiations.<\/p>\n<p>The 44-year-old man was arrested on assault and terrorizing charges. Formal charges were pending.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Fargo police are working to identify a man who tried to rob a hotel.<\/p>\n<p>The man walked into the Vista Inn about 11 p.m. Wednesday, told the desk clerk he had a gun and demanded money.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the clerk hesitated and the would-be robber fled without getting any cash. The clerk did not see a weapon.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators are examining surveillance video from the hotel and nearby businesses to try to identify the suspect.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>STANLEY, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The Highway Patrol has identified a 1-year-old girl who died after being struck by a pickup truck in the driveway of a private residence southeast of Stanley.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say McKinley Craft died in a Stanley hospital after the incident Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>No charges were filed against the woman driving the pickup. The patrol says the woman and girl were &#8220;distant relatives.&#8221;<br \/>\nFARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A woman who was convicted on a drug conspiracy charge has been arrested for failing to report to prison.<\/p>\n<p>Kimberly Ratliff is charged in federal court with escape. Authorities say she was scheduled to check into a facility in Waseca, Minnesota, on June 30.<\/p>\n<p>Prison officials notified U.S. marshals on Sept. 8 that Ratliff had not voluntarily reported. She was arrested on Monday in Grand Forks.<\/p>\n<p>Ratliff was sentenced on June 18 to 10 years in prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The North Dakota National Guard&#8217;s 81st Civil Support Team and other emergency personnel are slated to hold an emergency response exercise in Grand Forks.<\/p>\n<p>The military says the exercise will begin on Thursday at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say soldiers and local emergency officials will be alerted to the mission that likely will be a simulated chemical and radiation disaster.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota&#8217;s Capitol building is becoming a shopping mall for state products for the day.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday is the annual Pride of Dakota Day at the statehouse in Bismarck. Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says more than 50 North Dakota businesses will take part, offering a range of products for sale and sampling.<\/p>\n<p>Vendor booths will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Capitol&#8217;s Memorial Hall, Legislative Hall and west end ground floor. Favre retired as the NFL&#8217;s leading career passer in most categories. Owens was one of the league&#8217;s most prolific and dynamic receivers for most of his 15 pro seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Bengals cornerback Adam &#8220;Pacman&#8221; Jones has been fined $35,000 by the NFL for his personal foul against Raiders receiver Amari Cooper during their opener on Sunday. Jones got on top of Cooper, knocked off his helmet and slammed his head against it at the end of a play during the second quarter, drawing a penalty for unnecessary roughness.
