He did not progress in treatment and was sent to a residential treatment center. He was convicted in May of 2003 in McHenry County Juvenile Court. Disposition 2 years.<\/p>\n<p>He was convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition while he was in a treatment center for the McHenry County offense involving another ten year old child he was babysitting, in West Fargo. Kruk also had contact with a 13 year old at the residential treatment center. He was convicted in May of 2005 in Bottineau County Juvenile Court. Disposition was 1-year.<\/p>\n<p>Kruk is not wanted by police at this time and is currently serving the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>Printed handouts of Kruk\u2019s photo and demographics are available at the Jamestown Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>More information on registered offenders is available on the North Dakota Attorney General\u2019s Office web site, at <span style=\"font-size: large;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sexoffender.nd.gov\/\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">www.sexoffender.nd.gov<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota State Hospital Governing Body heard Monday that the hospital is looking for about 50 new employees.<\/p>\n<p>Huuman Resources Director, Lyle Grove said, the hospital staff normally includes 456 full-time equivalents. Currently, 406 of the positions are filled.<\/p>\n<p>He added that &#8220;These are jobs with a high school education as a minimum and are the biggest demand in the area.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Grove said the State Hospital is competing with retail stores like Menards and Walmart and other employers for workers to fill these positions. However, filling any position at the State Hospital has some challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The State Hospital offers a starting wage of $13.70 per hour for direct-care associates, who don\u2019t have an education beyond high school or any applicable experience.<\/p>\n<p>In other business, the State Hospital Governing Body adopted a revised set of bylaws for the board. The hospital\u2019s Superintendent, Dr. Rosalie Etherington, said the revisions removed redundant wording and outdated language from the bylaws.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Parks Board has approved a contract with Zerr Berg Architects as the architects for the Two Rivers Activity Center project.<\/p>\n<p>Parks and Rec Director Doug Hogan, said the Fargo architectural firm will receive six percent of TRAC\u2019s guaranteed maximum price for the design work the firm is doing. He added that the guaranteed maximum price will be determined in December.<\/p>\n<p>He said Zerr Berg is also owed $10,000 for work the firm did for the Two Rivers Activity Center Board before voters approved a 1 percent city sales tax to pay for phase one of TRAC. The first phase of TRAC will cost $28.6 million.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) At Monday&#8217;s Jamestown Public School Board meeting, a program to help children grasp science using visual and hands-on activities was endorsed by Mari Stilwell.<\/p>\n<p>Stilwell, is a reading coach at Roosevelt Elementary School. She updated the School Board, saying about a $25,000 Monsanto grant to fund a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) grant pilot project for second- and fourth-graders. She said a second $25,000 grant application to the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction would fund materials and train teachers to add third and fifth grades.<\/p>\n<p>The project combines science, engineering and reading in a more hands-on way to engage young learners, using the &#8220;Picture-Perfect Science Lessons&#8221; series from the National Science Teachers Association Press, Stilwell said. The pilot project succeeded in getting more students to grasp concepts in physical and life sciences and gets kids more engaged in STEM activities, she said.<\/p>\n<p>Enrollment reports for the 2015-2016 school year noted there are 115 students from Jamestown going to other school districts. There are 56 students from other districts attending Jamestown schools. According to the proclamation, the city of Jamestown doesn\u2019t have a day to commemorate and encourage non-violence whereas other cities have already established days and weeks for non-violence. \u2018Day Without Violence\u2019 is established to have each state proclaim a statewide day without violence on or around September 30th and a Nationwide day on October 1st.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0ELLENDALE, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation agent is facing misdemeanor criminal charges for confiscating a pay loader from a Forbes man and giving it to a trucking company.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Arnie Rummel is charged in Southeast District Court with misapplication of entrusted property and refusing to perform his duty as a public servant. His first court appearance is scheduled Nov. 19.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rummel is accused of taking the loader from Darrell Schrum after an investigation determined it was stolen. A judge found Rummel in contempt for failing to meet a deadline to return the loader and ordered Rummel and the state to pay Schrum nearly $54,000. The state Supreme Court overturned the order.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A spokeswoman for the state attorney general&#8217;s office says they have not seen court documents and had no comment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0KINDRED, N.D. (AP) &#8211; The driver of a school bus that collided with three semitrailers in dense fog at an intersection near Kindred has had both of her legs amputated.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0 The southeastern North Dakota community of about 700 people is rallying to help Cathy Jostad.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 None of the 32 students aboard the bus was seriously injured in the Friday morning crash. But Jostad was pinned in the wreckage and it took rescue crews more than half an hour to free her. Doctors at a Fargo hospital amputated both of her legs to save her life.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 About 150 people turned out in Kindred Monday night for a prayer vigil and balloon release. An account also has been set up at Kindred State Bank to help with Jostad&#8217;s medical expenses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Fargo police are investigating robberies at two liquor stores within about an hour of one another.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say a masked male entered Bottle Barn about 8:30 p.m. Monday, showed a gun and fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At about 9:40 p.m., a masked male who indicated he had a weapon but did not display one robbed the Spirit Shop.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police Lt. Joel Vettel says the robberies are similar but it&#8217;s unknown if they&#8217;re connected. They&#8217;re the fifth robberies in Fargo in less than two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Police in Grand Forks are searching for a man suspected of hitting and robbing another man.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police say the suspect approached the victim and punched him several times around 2 a.m. Sunday in downtown Grand Forks. A short time later, the victim noticed his wallet was missing.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The suspect is described as a black man about 22 to 24 years old, with shoulder-length dreadlocks, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. Police say the man was wearing a white T-shirt and black skinny jeans.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police say several people were in the area of North Third Street when the incident happened. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the police department.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FARGO, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Fargo police have identified the officer involved in an early-morning shooting that injured a man suspected of stealing a car.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Officer Patrick Thomas has been with Fargo police since October 2014. He previously worked as an officer at North Dakota State University.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thomas has been placed on administrative leave until an investigation can be completed.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The incident happened after 3 a.m. Monday. Authorities say Thomas shot a 31-year-old man three times after the suspect aimed a replica gun with a laser pointer at the officer.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The suspect was taken to a hospital for surgery. His name and condition have not been released.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A police spokesman says the suspect is expected to be charged Tuesday, at which time more information will be released.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Bismarck man found not guilty of trying to kill his wife has been sentenced to three years in prison on lesser charges, with most of the time suspended.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Fifty-five-year-old Terry Link was accused of trying to strangle his wife and threatening her with a kitchen knife in October 2014, after Tamara Link filed for divorce.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A jury in July cleared Terry Link of attempted murder but convicted him on charges of interfering with an emergency phone call and preventing arrest.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 South Central District Judge James Hill on Monday sentenced Link to the three years but suspended two years and gave Link credit for 338 days he already had served in jail.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Link also will be required to complete a domestic violence offender treatment program and undergo electronic monitoring.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A woman who says she&#8217;s led more than 100 searches for the body of a North Dakota oil patch worker who was bludgeoned to death says she won&#8217;t stop looking now that a man has confessed to hiring the killing.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thirty-six-year-old James Henrikson has pleaded guilty in federal court in Washington state to ordering the deaths of oil patch business associates Kristopher Clarke and Doug Carlile. Henrikson acknowledged that Clarke was killed in February 2012 in Henrikson&#8217;s North Dakota truck shop.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Clarke&#8217;s body hasn&#8217;t been found.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lissa Yellowbird-Chase lives on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation and says she wants to find Clarke&#8217;s body so his family can lay him to rest. She says she&#8217;s not waiting to see if Henrikson reveals the location of the body.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota health officials are investigating an outbreak of salmonella that has sickened 22 people since late July.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The state Health Department says investigations into the outbreak have shown that the infections have the same genetic pattern and may have originated from a common source. Officials, however, have been unable to identify a common food item, place or event where all of the cases may have been exposed.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Salmonella symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Officials say 14 of the cases have been from Ward County. The patients who weren&#8217;t from that county reported traveling to that area.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The department says officials will randomly call residents who haven&#8217;t been ill in hopes of collecting information that will be compared to that of sick patients. Officials say the information may help narrow down the cause of the infection.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Gov. Jack Dalrymple has formed a task force to address the potential impact of cyber threats on state government. The Cybersecurity Task Force includes 15 people, including directors and information technology experts from a number of state agencies. Dalrymple says the team will review current cybersecurity policies and practices and make recommendations on how to better secure state networks and systems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley says he will not seek the Republican endorsement for governor.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wrigley&#8217;s announcement Monday comes almost a month after he admitted to having an extramarital affair that he says has ended.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The 49-year-old Wrigley is a former U.S. attorney, state Republican Party director and aide to former Gov. John Hoeven. He is serving his first elected four-year term as lieutenant governor under Gov. Jack Dalrymple, who is not seeking re-election.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wrigley is best known for his role as the state&#8217;s chief federal law enforcement officer. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp says she&#8217;s hoping that a face-to-face meeting with Cuban President Raul Castro will open the door to more U.S. agricultural exports.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Heitkamp was one of two senators and a handful of representatives to meet Friday in New York with Castro, the first Cuban leader to visit the United States in 15 years.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Democratic senator says it might be difficult to find enough support to lift a trade embargo against Cuba, but she is pushing a bill that would finance agricultural exports.\u00a0 Cuba has a high demand for North Dakota crops like dry beans, peas and lentils.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Heitkamp visited Cuba in February 2014 but did not have a chance to meet Castro.
