The announcement might not come until after the World Series.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mattingly interviewed Monday with the Marlins. He went 446-363 in five years with the Dodgers and won the NL West the past three years. But the Dodgers have not reached the World Series since winning the title in 1988.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In Miami, Mattingly succeeds Dan Jennings, who made the unusual move from general manager to manager in May.<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>LOS ANGELES (AP) &#8211; Don Mattingly won&#8217;t return as manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers next year after he and the front office mutually agreed it was time for a fresh start.<\/p>\n<p>Mattingly said Thursday in a statement distributed by the team that it&#8217;s &#8220;the right time and right move for both parties.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Los Angeles was 446-363 under Mattingly, finishing with a winning record in every season and claiming the last three NL West titles.
