Sports) &#8212; The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce reports that North Dakota Special Olympics will hold the State Winter Games again in Valley City on January 18-19, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteer opportunities available.<\/p>\n<p>Fact Sheet:<\/p>\n<p>Event Description: For the 2nd <span><span>consecutive year, the community of Valley City and surrounding area will serve as host of the Special Olympics North Dakota (SOND) State Winter Games. More than 150 Special Olympics athletes, children and adults with intellectual disabilities, and Unified Partners from throughout North Dakota will compete in the two-day event for the chance to be a state champion. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Competition held in these Winter Sports:<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Alpine Skiing<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Cross Country Skiing<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Snowshoe Racing<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Unified Team Handball<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>*Unified Team Handball is one of four SOND Unified Team Sports.
