HIGHS IN THE MID 20S.<\/p>\n<p>A POTENTIAL STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING THE POSSIBILITY OF STRONG<br \/>\n\u00a0NORTHWEST WINDS AND LIGHT SNOW TO THE NORTHERN PLAINS SATURDAY<br \/>\n\u00a0AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY.<\/p>\n<p>SUNDAY LOOKS WINDY ACROSS THE ENTIRE REGION WITH POSSIBLY THE JAMES<br \/>\n\u00a0RIVER VALLEY THE STRONGEST.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SNOW AMOUNTS BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES GENERALLY EAST OF HIGHWAY 83.<br \/>\n\u00a0THE WINDS WILL DIMINISH SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY.<\/p>\n<p>THOSE WITH TRAVEL PLANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO<br \/>\n\u00a0CHECK THE LATEST FORECAST INFORMATION BEFORE TRAVELING.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Update&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) An investigation into the allegation of misuse of government property by the\u00a0Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Department has not shown evidence to file charges for defamation.<\/p>\n<p>North Dakota ttorney General Wayne Stenehjem in conjunction with the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation began the investigation after it was claimed that a deputy and the sheriff\u2019s son were using a jet ski reportedly owned by Stutsman County for recreational use.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Read more\" href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=93813\" target=\"_blank\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The 9th Annual, Giving Hearts Days is set for Thursday February 11, 2016, a one-day online giving event.<\/p>\n<p>Several Jamestown area non-profits are participating this year, including: Anne Carlsen Center, Jamestown Regional Medical Center, St. John\u2019s Academy, The Arts Center, American Heart Association, Freedom Resource Center, Service Dogs for America, Salvation Army, and University of Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, were Cyndi Wish from the Arts Center, Kendra Krueger from the American Heart Association, and Felicia Sargeant from the Anne Carlsen Center.<\/p>\n<p>Cyndi pointed out that proceeds from Giving Hearts Day donations will go the Arts Center\u2019s Arts After School, and Summer Arts program<\/p>\n<p>Kendra added the proceeds will stay in North Dakota and ear-marked for the Hypertension Initiative, the Cardiac Ready Community program, the Go Red For Woman program, and other programs promoting healthy life styles.<\/p>\n<p>Felicia said the Anne Carlsen Center has head start on Giving Hearts Day as a $100,000 match has been pledge by Gate City Bank, in North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>The Giving Hearts Day donations will go toward the Anne Carlsen Center\u2019s general operating fund.<\/p>\n<p>In Valley City CHI Mercy Health Foundation will participate.<\/p>\n<p>Spokeswoman Stephanie Mayfield says an &#8220;Open House&#8221; will be held from 10am-2pm on Thursday, February 11 to celebrate Giving Hearts Day. (AP) &#8211; A Beulah day care provider who admitted biting a 3-year-old boy under her supervision has been sentenced to two years of probation.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nBrandy Aadnes pleaded guilty to child abuse and operating a child care facility without a license. She&#8217;ll be banned from child care services during her probationary period.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police began investigating Aadnes after receiving a report about a child being bitten last August. The boy&#8217;s relatives told authorities they noticed an adult-size bite mark on his arm. Aadnes later told police she bit the boy to show him that biting hurts after he had bitten another child in her care.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0MINOT, N.D. (AP) &#8211; A Missouri man accused of pointing a loaded rifle at a sheriff&#8217;s deputy during a car chase in North Dakota will serve about four months in prison.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thirty-five-year-old Brandon Bradford, of Archie, Missouri, reached a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment. He had initially been charged with attempted murder.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities say a Ward County deputy tried to stop Bradford about 1 a.m. on Oct. 17 because he was driving a vehicle with no right-side tires, only rims. A chase ensued, with Bradford allegedly pointing a rifle at the deputy at one point.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bradford also pleaded guilty Wednesday to fleeing and drunken driving. He was sentenced to serve 120 days behind bars and three years of probation, and ordered to forfeit two guns found in his vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MINOT, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Fifteen North Dakota Air National Guard airmen who were deployed to Southwest Asia for six months are coming home.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The airmen are assigned to the Minot-based 219th Security Forces Squadron. They volunteered for the base defense and security operations mission being led by Tech Sgt. Michael Clow.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The national guard says 13 of the airmen are scheduled to return on civilian flights Thursday night. Two more are scheduled to return Friday afternoon.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The group&#8217;s mission was to support units in the U.S. Central Command, or CENTCOM. (AP) &#8211; MDU Resources Group Inc. has reported a decrease in profits for 2015 due to losses at its North Dakota refinery and warmer winter weather that cut natural gas and electricity sales.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Bismarck-based energy, mining and construction company says its profits for ongoing operations in 2015 were $180 million, down from $205.5 million in 2014.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 MDU and Indianapolis-based Calumet Specialty Products Partners&#8217; $430 million Dakota Prairie Refinery near Dickinson began selling fuel in May but lost money due to low fuel prices and a slowdown in North Dakota oil activity. MDU says its share of the loss from the refinery was $20.5 million.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 MDU is the parent company of Montana-Dakota Utilities. In 41 games this season, the 19-year-old has 3 goals and 8 assists while accumulating 45 penalty minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Stork says, &#8220;Jackson is a big, strong defender. He&#8217;s a shutdown defenseman who&#8217;s hard to play against in front of the net and in the corners. Academically, he&#8217;s very sound, with a 4.0 GPA.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Baron, a 5&#8242; 11, 175 pound defenseman from Abbotsford, British Columbia, is also in his second season with Revelstoke. The 19-year-old has 4 goals and 12 assists, with 43 penalty minutes in 40 games played.<\/p>\n<p>Stork adds, &#8220;Kyle is a two-way defender who can see the ice extremely well.
