Valley City (CSi) – At 11:30 am, the Valley City Commission notified media of a a second SPECIAL MEETING<\/strong> to be held today, \u00a0Thurs Feb 11, \u00a0at 4pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Items to be considered:<\/p>\n

N1) Approve an attorney to advise city and provide opinion specific to the permissibility of the grievances and how the employee manual and code of conduct apply to the process going forward.<\/p>\n

N2) Consider retaining an attorney for the limited purpose of investigating the grievances filed against Mayor Werkhoven and advising the City Commission during the Grievance procedures.<\/p>\n

Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0Word has it that the Valley City Commission has scheduled a\u00a0 Special Meeting Thursday February 11, 2016, at 7-.a.m., at City Hall.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the meeting, we hear, is to consider retaining an attorney for the limited purpose of investigating the grievances filed against Mayor Bob Werkhoven by four city officials.<\/p>\n

CSi TV contacted City Hall \u00a0Weds afternoon, \u00a0after residents inquired if the Special meeting would air on CSi 68. \u00a0 CSi TV was told no by City Hall, the meeting could not be televised. \u00a0 \u00a0No further information was provided.<\/p>\n

CSi TV is normally given notice of all regular and special meetings, which had not occurred in this case. \u00a0CSi TV requested Weds afternoon a copy of the required notice of Special Meeting.<\/p>\n
