Patients and guests can enter the medical center entrances as usual. Same Day Surgery will be closed today, and all impacted patients and staff have been notified. All other appointments remain as scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>The north Broadway ramp near the medical center\u2019s main entrance is now open. All vehicles can enter and exit on Broadway only. The Same Day Surgery parking lots remain closed and are under the direction of the Fargo Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0FARGO\u00a0 (AP)\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 <a title=\"Police say\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wday.com\/news\/3945296-resolved-standoff-leaves-fargo-officer-near-death-status-gunman-unknown\" target=\"_blank\">Police say<\/a>\u00a0a suspect in the shooting of a North Dakota police officer has been found shot to death in the home where he barricaded himself for about 11 hours. Officer Jason Moszer is not expected to survive his wounds.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police Chief David Todd says a SWAT team entered the Fargo home shortly before dawn Thursday and found the man&#8217;s body. Todd says he doesn&#8217;t know if the suspect was hit in an earlier exchange of gunfire with a SWAT officer or if he shot himself.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Police have not released the suspect&#8217;s name.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The standoff began Wednesday evening following a domestic violence report. Police said the suspect fired multiple rounds from inside the home, seriously injuring Moszer. Authorities found Holladay dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Miller allegedly confessed to family members his involvement in the crime, documents say, and was arrested later Sunday in Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>Miller is charged with murder, a Class AA felony, and reckless endangerment, a Class C felony.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Authorities are working to identify a body recovered from the Sheyenne River.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Eddy County Sheriff Paul Lies\u00a0says \u00a0a dive rescue team from Jamestown recovered the female body Tuesday afternoon but it has not been positively identified. (AP) &#8211; A woman who says she was wrongly accused by Fargo police of possessing a meth pipe after she was arrested for drunken driving is suing the city for more than $100,000.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sarah Rhodes says police blamed her for a pipe that was thrown on the floor of the squad car by another suspect two days earlier. She says she suffered emotional trauma from possibly facing jail time and losing her job. (AP) &#8211; Spring wheat and durum wheat research and marketing are the focus of meetings this week in Dickinson and Minot. Wheat Commission Marketing Specialist Erica Olson says the meetings can give farmers production and marketing information they can use in their operations. (AP) &#8211; Williston State College has broken its spring enrollment record for the second straight year.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 School officials say that 1,028 students have registered for classes, topping last year&#8217;s mark of 1,009 students. Full-time students are up 21 percent over spring 2015.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Officials attribute the gains to an early entry option for high school students the Williston State College Foundation&#8217;s scholarship program for Williams County high school graduates. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota&#8217;s Agriculture Department says more than 338,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables made its way to food pantries and homeless shelters across the state last year.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Hunger Free North Dakota Garden Program asks gardeners and other growers to donate a portion of their harvest.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The state Agriculture Department and Great Plains Food Bank started the program in 2010. State Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says the program has recorded volunteer donations of 1.4 million pounds of fresh produce to the poor since then.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In sports\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Park Board has approved purchasing about $34,000 in new equipment for the Hillcrest Municipal Golf Course. Park Board Chairman Mike Landscoot, cast the lone dissenting vote.<\/p>\n<p>The purchase includes a sweeper, aerator, a device used to remove plugs of sod to allow better turf growth and attachments for the aerator.<\/p>\n<p>The equipment will be paid for with funds remaining from a $1.8 million bond issue taken out last year for improvements at the golf course, John L. Wilson Arena and Eagles Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Aeration of the greens at the course last year was done with equipment borrowed from the Jamestown Country Club and a demonstration unit provided by a vendor as a trial.<\/p>\n<p>In other business, the Parks and Recreation Commission met in closed executive session to discuss negotiation strategies for the purchase of land for the Two Rivers Activity Center from Jamestown Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; North Dakota&#8217;s Game and Fish Department is holding public meetings to discuss the state&#8217;s mountain lion population.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Results of a research project and biological findings from lions killed over the last decade show the population has steadily declined.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 North Dakota has had a mountain lion hunting season every year since 2005. Game and Fish in conjunction with researchers from South Dakota State University launched the first part of a two-phase research project in 2011.
