News Jan 2, 2013)\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 The Jamestown City Engineer&#8217;s Office is informing residents that households\u00a0may have already received a mailing from a firm called \u2018American Water Resources of North Dakota\u2019 or \u2018AWR\u2019, concerning a form of utility service line insurance. This firm notified the City of Jamestown on Monday, December 31, 2012, that they would be conducting a mass mailing to resident and business addresses in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>The City acknowledges that the individual water and sewer service lines from the City mains to the residence or business are, by City Code, the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">responsibility of the Property Owner<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0The city \u00a0further acknowledge that costs for normal repairs or replacement of these service lines are borne by the Property Owner.<\/p>\n<p>The city says,\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">this firm is not associated in any way with the City of Jamestown. <\/span>Further, the City has had no dealings with \u2018AWR\u2019 and has no knowledge of the firm and its operations, and therefore is not able to recommend any course of action regarding this mailing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown, ND\u00a0 (KCSi-T.V.
