Dickey, Logan and McIntosh Counties have also issued a fire emergency and burn ban.<\/p>\n
Burn bans between each county vary slightly.<\/p>\n
Residents in each county should call local officials with any questions.<\/p>\n
Also, all open burning must be attended to and supervised at all times.<\/p>\n

(AP) – Defending champion Jordan Spieth (SPEETH) suffered a monumental collapse at the Masters yesterday, handing the green jacket to Danny Willett (WIHL’-iht) of Sheffield, England. Spieth took a five-shot lead into the back nine but shot 41 on his final nine holes — including a disastrous quadruple-bogey 7 on the par-3 12th — to finish with a final round one-over 71 that tied for second with Lee Westwood.<\/p>\n

\u00a0WASHINGTON (AP) – Some prominent legal advocates are weighing in on the debate over President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee. Fifteen former American Bar Association presidents are urging Republicans to consider Chief Judge Merrick Garland. In a letter to Senate leaders, they argue that the GOP blockade “materially hampers the effective operation” of the judiciary. They say Garland is “one of the most outstanding judges in the country.”

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BERLIN (AP) – A trial is under way in Germany of a man charged with sexually assaulting a woman on New Year’s Eve, in one of a string of attacks that fueled a nationwide debate over immigration policies. The defendant, a Moroccan identified only as Toufik M., is accused of being part of a group of 15-20 men who surrounded the woman and groped her. The attacks were blamed largely on foreigners.

Attorneys are set to begin sorting through potential jurors today for the trial of 35-year-old Justin Ross Harris. Harris faces multiple charges, including murder. Prosecutors have painted Harris as a man unhappy and unfaithful in his marriage who sought an escape and intentionally left the boy to die.
