David Swenson and Officer Wade Hannig observed Glenn Leeds as the driver of a white pickup truck exiting the parking lot of Moe\u2019s Eats in Valley City. The police were familiar with Leeds from prior contacts and a check with Barnes County Communications Center revealed Leeds\u2019 Nebraska license was revoked.<\/p>\n<p>They followed Leeds to his destination at 324 6th Avenue, Southwest\u00a0 in Valley City and placed him under arrest for driving with a suspended or revoked license. While still at the scene Leeds requested the officers contact a friend at his apartment to obtain his wallet and cellphone before being transported to Barnes County Corrections for booking.<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Swenson went to the apartment where a man answering the door identified himself as someone fixing Leeds\u2019 computer. While obtaining Leeds\u2019 possessions Swenson observed two AR-15 type rifles on a desk with the barrels pointing toward the apartment entry.<\/p>\n<p>A criminal history records check revealed that Leeds\u2019 has a &#8220;Nebraska Convicted Felon &#8211; No Gun Sale&#8221; court order.
