Jamestown (Chamber 1-23-23) – The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to report another successful Loyal to Local Passport program.

The New Release States, Designed to keep and support local spending over the holidays, the Loyal to Local Passport Program challenged participants to spend $250 or more at over 70 participating businesses. Once a passport was fully stamped, it was then turned in for a chance to win one of several prizes that were also donated by even more participating, local businesses.

523 booklets were turned in, which adds up to $130,750 that stayed local during the 2022 holiday shopping season in the area.

“We’re extremely appreciative of everyone at all levels of participation in the program,” stated Emily Bivens, Jamestown Area Chamber Executive Director. “From the businesses that donated prizes and stamped booklets to the participants from all over who filled out passports and kept their dollars local.”

While the numbers are impressive, the chamber believes there could have been even more spending locally that wasn’t tracked through the program.

“We know there was much more spent locally,” Bivens added. “Our passport program is just a small part of the local business support from our area residents. From those who turned in just one passport to others who turned in multiple, you made an impact and I’m sure our businesses are grateful for your support. The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to play a part in ensuring our businesses are supported and appreciated.”

The chamber appreciates all the businesses, sponsors, and participants who made this program a resounding success!
