Charlotte Krauth, 96, Minnetonka, MN passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.
Charlotte Jean Rusch was born November 24, 1927 in Jamestown, ND the daughter of Al and Helen (Nielsen) Rusch. She attended St. John’s Academy, graduating high school in 1945. Shortly after graduation, she joined the war effort moving to Ogden, Utah to work at Hill Field Air Base. After the war ended, she attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where she met her husband Charles Krauth from Hebron, ND. On September 1, 1947, she married Charles at the Basilica of St. James.
During her lifetime Charlotte was employed by the Veterans Administration from 1946 to 1947; Farmers Union Insurance from 1963 through 1977; and later at Goodwill. She was a member of St. James Basilica and St. James Tabernacle.
She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Both Charles and Charlotte were avid golfers and enjoyed playing courses in Jamestown and Arizona.
In 2015, she moved to an independent senior living complex in Minnetonka, MN where she enjoyed a new lifestyle and made many friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Krauth, St. Louis Park, MN, Maxine (Mark) Lecy, Deephaven, MN; grandson Patrick (Jessie) Lecy, Independence, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, parents and sister, Arlene (Ed) Murphy.
Memorial Mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May 10, 2024 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND. Burial will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Mandan.
