BISMARCK, N.D.– Kate Cordes from the University of Jamestown women’s basketball team has been named the North Star Athletic Association’s Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Cordes scored a career-high 32 points in Jamestown’s 90-67 win over Bethel (Kan.) in the season opener.  She followed up with 17 points in UJ’s 67-51 win at Kansas Wesleyan.  For the week, Cordes averaged 24.5 points per game, shooting 19-of-38 from the field (50 percent), 5-of-15 from the 3-point line, and converted all six free-throws.  Cordes also averaged 4.0 assists per game for the week.
