Martineck seeks SE Judicial District judgeship

Valley City (CSi) Barnes County State’s Attorney Carl Martineck has announced his candidacy to run for the Judgeship Number Two position in the Southeast Judicial District.

In a News Release, Martineck said he’s looking forward to meeting with people across the district to discuss ways we can improve the law, legal system, and administration of justice.

Martineck will campaign in advance of the primary election which will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2016, with the General election on November 8, 2016.

Judgeship Number Two is seated in Valley City and will be vacated by Jerod Tufte, who recently announced his candidacy for North Dakota Supreme Court. The Southeast Judicial District includes Barnes, Stutsman, Richland, Dickey, Eddy, Foster, Griggs, Kidder, Logan, LaMoure, Logan, McIntosh, Ransom, Richland, Sargent and Wells counties.
