IRS phone scam

Valley City (CSi) The IRS reports yet another phone scam in Valley City and the area.

The scam caller says, the call is “the final notice from the Internal Revenue Service to inform you the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you and to get more information about this case call 202-341-7794.”

Do not return the call… it’s a scam to get personal bank account information and social security numbers to take money out of your accounts.

Anyone receiving such a call should contact local law enforcement and report the incident.
