RIO DE JENEIRO (AP) — Katie Ledecky continues to blow away the opposition. In the preliminaries of the 800-meter freestyle Thursday she set an Olympic record with a 16-lap time of in 8 minutes, 12.86 seconds, bettering the old mark of 8:14.10 set eight years ago. Ledecky, whose time was nearly seven seconds faster than anyone else, is back in the pool Thursday night for more qualifying.
