clausenspingsparkBISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota’s congressional delegation says seven park projects in the state are getting matching grants from the federal government for improvements. The Barnes County Park Board received a $31,709 grant to improve Clausen Springs Park.

The delegation says the grants total more than $300,000 and come from the National Park Service.

The projects include parks in Bismarck, Crosby, Fort Stevenson, Hillsboro, Devils Lake, New Salem and Barnes County.

The project will construct new sports and playing fields and support facilities, including removal of existing playground equipment and the installation of new playground structures that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as development of amenities and restroom replacements.
