Inductees announced, Bison Hall of Fame

Miller_ScottFARGO, N.D. (AP) — The longtime play-by-play broadcaster of North Dakota State University athletics and the school’s 1972 national champion men’s cross country team are among this year’s inductees to the Bison Athletic Hall of Fame.

Broadcaster Scott Miller died in February after a nearly four-year battle with cancer. He had been the voice of Bison football and basketball for two decades.

The 1972 men’s cross country team won the NCAA Division II championship.

Several individual NDSU athletes and a coach also are being inducted into the hall. The ceremony is Sept. 30, 2016 at the Fargo Holiday Inn. The group also will be recognized during halftime of NDSU’s homecoming football game against Illinois State on Oct. 1.
