FARGO, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota State University assistant football coach Tim Polasek has been hired to coach tight ends and fullbacks at Northern Illinois.
The Huskies are an NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision school that finished 22nd in this year’s final Top 25 poll. Polasek helped coach NDSU to back-to-back Football Championship Subdivision titles.
Two former NDSU coaches also have been in the news this week. Gus Bradley, who spent 10 seasons as an assistant with the Bison, was named the new head coach of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. Former NDSU head coach Bob Babich was let go as an assistant with the Chicago Bears.
