Heating assistance applications, being received

Valley City  (CSi)  Applications for the North Dakota Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program are being accepted at the Barnes County Social Services Office, at the Barnes County Courthouse, in Room 102.

Applications are being accepted now through May 31, 2017.

A new application must be completed each year to determine eligibility consisting of income and asset limits.

The North Dakota Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program distributes state money for Heating Assistance.

Who Qualifies

Eligibility is based on a household’s income and assets to ensure help goes to those most in need.

A household’s income must be at or below 60 percent of North Dakota’s median income and within these limits.

(Income limits effective Oct. 1, 2016 to Sept. 30, 2017)
