Max woman ID’d, I-94 Rollover near Valley City

Valley City  (CSi)   The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified    a Max, North Dakota  woman who was killed Sunday afternoon,  in a rollover crash on I-94, eight miles west of Valley City Sunday about 5:15 p.m.

Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind reports 18 year old   Brooke Schroeder was eastbound on I-94 during blowing snow conditions. The car veered towards the median and into the guardrail on an overpass. After striking the guardrail, the vehicle vaulted over the median and landed on its top on the east embankment of the underpass at 109th Avenue SE.

Schroeder needed to be extracted from the vehicle by the Valley City Rural Fire Department. She was transported to Mercy Hospital where she was pronounced dead from the injuries suffered in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were  the Barnes County Sheriff’s Dept, Valley City Rural Fire & Rescue, Barnes County Ambulance.
