Jamestown (CSi) The James River Valley Library System Library Board has approved the revised 2018 budget including a 2.4 percent decrease in spending in the 2017 budget.
James River Valley Library System director, Joe Rector pointed out that the proposed 2018 budget needed to be adjusted after it was announced that there would be no revenue increases from the county for 2018.
Overall JRVLS expenditures for 2018 are $999,650, down from $1,017,849.
Total 2018 revenues are $999,650, down from $1,024,415 for 2017.
Included in the 2018 budget is $20,000 more for cost-of living increases for the staff at Alfred Dickey Public Library and Stutsman County Library.
