Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — A Stutsman County Sheriff’s Deputy escaped serious injury when his Sheriff’s pickup truck unit, was involved in an accident during a pursuit, on July 19, 2012.

Sheriff, Chad Kaiser said, Deputy Damien Hoyt was in pursuit of a car reported stolen in Iowa.

The pickup missed a curve about five miles north, and six miles east of Jamestown at about 1:40-a.m., on Thursday July 19, 2012.  The pickup landed on its side.  Damage was to the driver’s side of the pickup, mirror, side window, airbag, front fender, hood, and door panel.  About $7,600 damage was reported to the Sheriff’s unit.

Hoyt was checked for injuries and released from the hospital.  The two suspects were apprehended later in the day in Barnes County by the Sheriff’s Office there.
