Jamestown (CSi) Interstate Engineering in Jamestown reports, that the 5th Street Northeast project is in its final phase.
In his E-Mail Ben Aaseth said, “The concrete subcontractor is working on the final speed table this week. There will be work going on behind the back of the curb as well, I am guessing the road will be done and striped by the end of next week. The top lift of the hot bituminous pavement will be on the final two phases next week. The sidewalk and others behind the curb work will continue over the next three weeks.”
The $2.5 million project includes new curb and gutter and sidewalks on the street from 12th Avenue to 27th Avenue Northeast.
The completion date was set for October 15th, however, the contractor says there was still some items that needed finishing.
