Northwestern 81 Jamestown 80
JAMESTOWNÂ (UJ)– Colton Kooima drained a half-court shot at the buzzer to give No.5 Northwestern (Iowa) an 81-80 victory over the Jimmie basketball team Friday night at Harold Newman Arena.
With the score tied 78-78, Kevin Oberweiser (JR/Drummond, Mont.) hit a basket with 4.2 seconds left to put UJ up 80-78. On the ensuing inbounds play, Kooima received the ball and heaved up a desperation shot just beyond the halfcourt line, banking it off the glass and giving the Red Raiders an improbable victory.
