Bellevue, Neb (UJ) Kevin Oberweiser scored a career-high 29 points and the Jimmie men’s basketball team rallied from a 15-point first half deficit to defeat Bellevue University in North Star Athletic Association conference play Saturday evening.
A pair of Blake Wilder free throws with 3:41 in the first gave the Bruins their second 15-point lead of the half. However, the Jimmies scored nine of the half’s final 13 points and trailed by 10, 49-39, at the break.
Sam Johnson was fouled on a three-point attempt and converted all three free throws to get Jamestown (13-5, 3-3 NSAA) within four points, 55-51, with 16:26 to play.
