(CSi)  Paul Schaffner of Minot, has declared his candidacy for GOP nomination for United State Senate.  Schaffner, a former teacher and coach currently works in the oil and gas industry.

The news release states:

“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for the United States Senate. And, I look forward to working with President Trump removing obstacles to the American dream. Like me, President Trump is not a Rockefeller Republican, he is a streetfighter. As a blue-collar conservative I look forward advancing policies, aiding ranchers, pipeline operators, floor hands on drilling rigs, equipment operators, and so many other hard working blue-collar professions.  The Senate does not need another Rockefeller Republican – going along to get along. The House through the leadership of Speaker Ryan and President Trump have taken responsibility for middle class Americans. It’s time for the Senate to do the same.”
