Valley City (CSi)  Two pedestrians on the concourse were struck, when a truck crashed into the wall during a truck pull event Tues evening at the ND Winter Show. One was transported to the hospital.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, that on Tuesday, March 6th, the ND Winter Show in Valley City was hosting a pickup pull event in the main arena at the ND Winter Show building.

At approximately 9:15 pm, a 2004 Dodge pickup was pulling the skid vehicle, a 1994 Peterbilt, in the event.  The Dodge was making a pass and traveling from west to east across the main arena.  At the east end of the main arena, the Dodge struck a large tire that was a buffer between the main arena and a wall separating the main arena from the east concourse.  After striking the large tire, the tire and the Dodge went through the wall onto the east concourse.

Two pedestrians on the concourse were struck, a 15 year old female and a 33 year old female. The 15 year old female was transported by Barnes County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital where she was treated and released.  The 33 year old female refused treatment on scene.

The driver of the 2004 Dodge was 19 year old Nathan Bell, of Gardner, ND.  The driver of the skid vehicle was 23 year old,Hunter Henjum, of Valley City,.

The Barnes County SO, Valley City PD, Valley City FD and Barnes County Ambulance all responded to assist.
