Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Jamestown City Council met in Special Session, and then recessed into closed Executive Session on Wednesday morning, (Mar 13, 2013) at City Hall.

The purpose of the session was to consult with the City Attorney concerning territorial service claims made by Stutsman Rural Water District.

At issue is whether the City of Jamestown, or Stutsman Rural Water District is to serve the area west of Jamestown, in this case, specifically the Titan Machinery building, under construction, across from Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Attending the Executive Session were: Mayor Andersen, City Council Members Kourajian, and Brubakken….City Administrator Jeff Fuchs, Assistant City Attorney Mary Jensen, City Attorney Ken Dalsted on the phone, along with legal counsel Tammy Norgaard, from the Vogel Law Office in Fargo,  also on the phone,  City Engineer Reed Schwartzkopf, and City Fire Chief Jim Reuther.

Following the closed Executive Session, the City Council reconvened into the open Special Session.

Mayor Andersen said there was no action to be taken by the City Council and the meeting was adjourned.
