BISMARCK (KCSi-T.V. News Mar 22, 2013)   – U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp has announced she will host a series of discussion sessions in North Dakota over the Congressional Work Period focused on housing issues in the state.

Senator Heitkamp says North Dakota has experienced serious housing challenges in recent years and that she will work with community and industry leaders to seek solutions. 

Heitkamp will attend the Thursday, April 4, 2013 Housing Meeting in Valley City from 10:00 –11:00am CT at the Regional Technology Center,415 Winter Show Road, SE in Valley City.

In the news release Senator Heitkamp  says:

“North Dakota as a whole is experiencing a serious housing crisis, Western North Dakota is seeing almost constant changes due to the oil boom, but equally important are the other areas of our state that face challenges all their own. I look forward to sitting down with North Dakota housing leaders over the next two weeks to talk about the challenges they experience on the ground and what solutions we can work towards together. As a member of the committee that oversees housing policy, I am in a unique position to address rural housing needs and advocate on behalf of North Dakotans.”
