Marion, ND  (KCSi-T.V. News Mar 24, 2013)  —  A 40-year-old Marion, man died, a passenger in a  one vehicle crash that killed the driver, a 43 year old Marion women, about, 12:02 a.m. Saturday (Mar 23, 2013) a mile and a half  south of Marion, on a gravel road, 56th Street Southwest…18 miles south and 15 miles east of Jamestown.

Highway Ptrol Trooper, Sgt. Troy Hischer reports, the driver has been identifed as Angela Haakenson, and her passenger, Merl Haakensson.

 2004 Chevy pickup was westbound on the gravel road when the driver, Angela,  lost control and the vehicle entered the south ditch.

Merl was partially ejected through the side window of the pickup and died of his injuries.

Angela was injured and transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center, with non-life threatening injuries.

Neither occupant was using safety restraints.

Angela was cited for DUI.

The LaMoure County Sheriff’s Office, assisted at the scene.
