Kulm (NDHP) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, seven children ages 10-13 were on board a school bus, when it rolled, about 5:49-p.m., Thursday, on Highway 13, three miles north of Kulm.
Sgt. Matthew Denault reports the driver of the Kulm school board, 46 year old, Kevin Strobel of Kulm was operating the bus westbound on Highway 13 when it entered a curve to go southbound toward Kulm.
The wheels of the bus lost traction on the slushy road causing the driver to lose control. The bus entered the east ditch where it rolled over. The bus came to rest on it’s roof.
There were seven children ages 10-13 on board the bus. Four of the children were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, treated and released. The other 3 children went home with their families. The bus driver was not injured. The crash is still under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were the LaMoure County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kulm Fire Department, and Kulm Ambulance.
