Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Mar 28, 2013) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a flatbed trailer, and semi hauling an anhydrous trailer collided about 8:40-a.m., Thursday, (Mar 28, 2013) on Highway 52, about 4 miles north of Buchanan, and 14 miles north of Jamestown.

Trooper, Sgt. Thomas Herzig says the truck pulling the flatbed trailer, operated by 23 year old Jack Nold, of Oriska was traveling east on a gravel township road, and was stopped at a Highway 52 intersection, when the rig then failed to yield to a southbound Peterbilt pulling the anhydrous trailer, driven by 48 year old James Tadych of Fertile, Minnesota.

The two collided at the intersection.

No injuries were reported.

The NDHP was assisted at the scene by the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports an accident between a Caterpillar road maintainer and a pickup occurred Thursday (Mar 28, 2013) about 9:30-a.m., 11 miles northwest of Woodworth.

The pickup operated by 62 year old Dale Wagner of Pettibone was northbound.

The maintainer operated by 40 year old Jonathon Buskness of Woodworth was southbound blading snow of the roadway.

Both vehicle crested a hill and Wagner steered right to avoid the collision.

The two crashed into each other, causing the pickup to go into the ditch.

No injuries were reported, both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

 

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol investigated a two vehicle accident on about 10:10-a.m., on Thursday (Mar 28, 2013) on Highway 52, north of Jamestown at mile marker 263.

Trooper, Sgt. Thomas Herzig says, a car driven by 86 year old Ted Weisser of rural Jamesotnw was westbound on a gravel road near the north side of Jamestown and was stopped at the Highway 52 intersection, when the vehicle failed to yield to a northbound pickup operated by 35 year old Brian McNamee of Minot, which slowed trying to avoid a crash. The right front of Weisser’s car struck the righ front of the pickup.

Weisser was not injured, neither was McNamee, of his passenger, 41 year old Todd Greenmyer of Oakes.

All involved were wearing seatbelts.

 

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, two semis collided Thursday, March 28, 2013, about 11:30-a.m., on Highway 281, about four miles north of Carrington, as twenty head of cattle were set loose.

The report says a semi hauling 42 cattle in a livestock trailer, operated by 55 year old Patrick Copenhaver, of Carrington, was westbound on a Foster County Gravel road.

The semi stopped at a Highway 281 intersection but failed to yield to a northbound semi pulling a hopper trailer, driven by 63 year old Duane Lura, of Carrington.

The two collided, with the livestock trailer coming to rest on the intersecting gravel township road.

Highway 281 was closed to traffic for two and a half hours until the vehicles were removed.

No injuries to the drivers, and no cattle were killed, as twenty of the animals got loose and were rounded up nearby.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Carrington Fire and Rescue, and the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association.

The accident remains under investigation by the NDHP
