Jamestown  (CSi)  Former Jamestown Mayor, Katie Andersen has informally accepted the position of Jamestown Regional Airport Manager.

The Jamestown Regional Airport Authority board, Tuesday voted 6-0 to offer Andersen the position. She says she applied for the position because due to a strong interest in the airport projects.

The job pays an annual salary of  $60,000 salary and negotiated benefits following a background check.

Andersen was  a member of the Airport Authority board while mayor.

A search to succeed Jamestown Regional Airport Manager Sam Seafeldt began when he resigned the position in October this year, accepting a position in Nebraska.
