Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Public School Board, Monday, was presented with at report, that pointed out that Jamestown and Carrington schools are partnering in the Teacher Leadership Academy with North Dakota State University.
Superintendent Rob Lech said, the program gives qualified teachers the opportunity to obtain a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from NDSU
He pointed out that the partnership with Carrington helps ensure that there won’t a problem in providing 15 to 20 teachers annually for the Teacher Leadership Academy.
The school board also heard from school district curriculum director, Joe Hegland, and Middle School Principal, Ryan Harty, about work following a 2017 AdvancED school quality and accreditation review through the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.
They said the current work will include a curriculum development process along with a comprehensive data analysis in classroom evaluation and school improvement planning.
The school board also approved the 2017-18 school district annual report.
