Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, a one vehicle rollover accident on Monday (Apr 15, 2013) about 9:15 p.m., injured a Poplar, Montana man.

The reports says a van operated by 49 year old Guy Bateman was westbound on I-94 about four miles west of Valley City, when the vehicle, with cruise control engaged at 65 mph slid on the ice and compacted snow. He over-corrected the skid, and the vehicle entered the median sideways, and overturned, coming to rest on the passenger side, facing south in the left lane on the eastbound travel lanes.

Bateman was hospitalized in Valley City for treatment.

The report says he was wearing a seat belt.

Assisting the NDHP were the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, Barnes County Ambulance Service, and Barnes County Crash and Rescue.
