Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Apr 24, 2013) — A Rogers, North Dakota man was sentenced in Southeast District Court in Jamestown, to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing 12 pounds of marijuana near a Jamestown school and tampering with witnesses.

Judge John Greenwood sentenced 51 year old Charles Rodney Kettle, to six years in the North Dakota Department of Corrections on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school.

He will receive 50 days credit for time served.

Kettle was arrested on March 5th, and accused of acquiring 12 pounds of marijuana in California and transporting it to North Dakota to sell.

Greenwood also sentenced Kettle to serve two years in prison, consecutively, with a tampering with witnesses charge.

He will serve five years of supervised probation concurrently on both charges.
