Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News May 2, 2013) — The Jamestown City Fire Department was called out about 11:02 p.m., Thursday (May 2, 2013) to an area near I-94 Exit 258, between R.M. Stoudt and Jamestown Regional Medical Center, near the westbound lane of I-94.
Lt. Sheldon Mohr said a power pole was on fire and burned grass in the area.
No damage to the pole, with less than a 10th of an acre of grass burned. The fire did not reach a nearby tree line.
Otter Tail Power crews were called to the scene to check the pole and wires.
The cause was listed as electrical
The five fire units and 26 city fire fighters were on the scene about 40 minutes.
