Dickinson (CSi) The Economic Development Association of North Dakota announced the 2019 Governor’s Choice Economic Development Award winners Tuesday, October 22nd, at their annual conference in Dickinson
The Director of Development for the Valley City Barnes County Development Corporation, Jennifer Feist, received Economic Developer of the Year. Jennifer, has been serving as the Corporation’s Director for 32 years, told the audience she was honored with the recognition and thanked the Board of Directors and her staff for their support.
She said, “We have an outstanding team of people who are fully engaged that make economic development success possible.” She also thanked the community, City and County Commissions, and friends and family for their support.
The Governor’s Choice Award is given to an individual who has made a significant contribution that will leave a lasting impact on the economic health of his/her community or region, thus increasing the quality of life for residents.
The Economic Development Corporation also received a second award- The Project of the Year. Mayor Dave Carlsrud, Past Board President JoAnn Hooper, President Elect Mary Lee Nielson and Work Force Development Coordinator Trinity Potts were on hand with Jennifer to receive the Governor’s Choice Award along with family and friends. The project included John Deere Seeding Group and I-94 Regional Development Corridor.
