Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — Meeting in Special Session Thursday (May 16, 2013) the Barnes County Commission approved plans to remodel space in the Barnes County Courthouse for the 9-1-1 Dispatch Center.

The County Commission voted three to one vote to approve appropriating just over $20,000 to include an office for the 9-1-1 coordinator, plus the installation of a restroom along with air conditioning and heating.

Barnes County Commission President Eldred Knutson says the dispatch center is planned to be operational in the basement of the courthouse by August of 2013.
