Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Jamestown Highway Patrol office reports, a motorcycle accident on Saturday August 4, 2012 about 11-p.m., claimed the life of a 44 year old Wimbledon man.

The report says, Scott Mc Millan was northbound on paved Stutsman County Road #62 three miles north of Spiritwood (7 miles north east of Jamestown).

The motorcycle entered a curved portion of the roadway, drifted across the southbound lane and entered the west ditch.

McMillan lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle.

McMillan and motorcycle came to rest in the west ditch. The motorcycle suffered moderate damage.

McMillan was severely injured.

He was transported by Jamestown Area Ambulance Service to Jamestown Regional Medical Center where he died.

A helmet was not in use.

Alcohol was involved.

The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the accident scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
