Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News May 20, 2013) — The Jamestown / Stutsman Development Corp (JSDC) Executive Board, Monday recommended a change to the JSDC’s strategic plan which includes the use of the arts as a tool for economic development.
Jamestown Arts Center Director, Taylor Barnes asked for th the change, which would allow the Arts Center to apply for grants that require a community partner.
JSDC may be providing matching money for a grant application made by the South Central Dakota Regional Council.
JSDC participation depends on the availability of funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, (USDA) and the Regional Council’s ability to meet the limitations the JSDC board placed on the funds.
