Jamestown (JPD Facebook) The Pork Open Golf Scramble on August 15th at Hillcrest Golf Course with a 10am start time.
This event has been quite successful for many years, thanks in part to all the participants and generous sponsors in the Jamestown Community.
If you’ve never heard of the Pork Open Golf Scramble before, it’s an annual event organized to raise funds in order to support and keep programs running, like D.A.R.E. which is taught to all 5th grade students in the Jamestown Public Schools. It also allows us to purchase bicycles, badge stickers, balloons, kickballs, pencils and several items that are given away to kids in Jamestown by our Officer’s. These small gestures provide positive interactions with our community members and are often remembered for years after.
If you’re interested in participating in the Pork Open this year, please contact Officer Staska (astaska@jamestownnd.gov) as soon as you can with your team members information (Names, Handicaps, T-Shirt size and how many carts are needed). The Scramble is 4 member teams and best ball, so even if you’re not a great golfer, we invite you to just relax and have fun!
