Valley City (CSi)  Valley City Fire & Rescue Team members along with the assistance of the Valley City Police Department and Barnes County Sheriff’s Office Saturday afternoon about 1:40-p.m.rescued a man and his dogs from the Sheyenne River In Valley City.

They fell through the ice cover and all three were pulled out of the water.  The man was taken to CHI Mercy Hospital for treatment of hypothermia.

The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office warns the public to stay off the Sheyenne River’s extremely thin ice cover from the recent mild temperatures.
